Nesting

This weekend I had my second baby shower. I had fun with the bow. The poopy diaper game was super fun.

Leo and Mayo just have way too much fun together
Leo likes the pack and play

I'm pretty sure my nesting instinct has kicked in. I spent last week shopping with my mom for all sorts of random things I'll need when Spencer comes. In the next couple weeks, Jacob and I will be shopping for the rest of the things that Spencer will need, like a mattress. Thanks to all those who gave us much needed stuff at both showers. It looks like we won't be needing diapers or wipes anytime soon! I've also been sewing too-I made a shopping cart cover. Not that he'll get to use it yet, but it's cute and fun. I spent today putting together various pieces of baby equipment like the pack and play and the swing.

Random Ramblings

I just have to take 2 finals tomorrow and then I am free for a whole summer (from school)!!!!! I'm glad to say that Spencer could come anytime now and it would be okay. Actually, I'd like him to wait til I can take my LPN boards, which I could take as soon as mid-May! And then I'll be a nurse...scary! On another note, Spencer is getting really big. The doctor says he probably weighs about 5-5.5 pounds right now. That is huge! It doesn't seem like there is a 5 pounder in there already. Everyone keeps telling me how tiny I am for how far along I am. He really likes my ribs and some days by the end of the day, they hurt pretty bad. I can't wait to meet this little guy, he seems pretty cute from the pictures we've been able to get. I guess I can wait a little bit, because right now he doesn't have a room of his own quite yet (it's getting close though).

This weekend I was also able to attend a homecoming of one of my close friends from high school. He just got back from his mission to Peru. Another one of my friends got back a few weeks ago from Argentina and so I got to see him too. It's so funny how little has changed between all of us, and yet there are big changes too. We still all sorta act the same and talk about the same things, with the exception of those who can now speak fluent Spanish. I heard lots of fun stories from their missions as we all just sat together. It's amazing how some of them got back alive from some of the scarier stories they told. I really enjoyed getting to be with a few of my old friends again. We had some good times back then and hopefully there will still be some in the future.
