Check out my cute baby! Yeah today I had to go to a breastfeeding class for my prenatal/infant nutrition class. Even though I was the only woman there not pregnant, I still got to practice my breastfeeding skills.

School...again

Once again school has begun. It's the start of spring semester and I'm enjoying my classes so far. I'm taking a few medical coding classes, a prenatal/infant nutrition class, a neuroscience class, and a Book of Mormon institute class. At first, coding was hard to understand, but now I LOVE IT! It's gotten simpler for me (hopefully it stays that way!). This semester hopefully shouldn't be too bad. Most of my classes are online with the exception of the neuroscience and the institute class. I get to go to a few community classes for my nutrition class which should be interesting. But...if I get too busy...the blog won't get updated as much...

First Christmas 2008

Our first Christmas together was a lot of fun. We spent Christmas Eve with Jake's parents and his brothers, Bryant and Trevor. We played games and had a fantastic turkey dinner and we didn't make it back to our own house til after 10. We started our own family tradition of Christmas Eve. It involves me, a violin, Jacob, and his singing voice. Plus we read Luke 2 together and I learned some new stuff that Jacob taught me. Christmas morning we woke up semi-early since I had to work that day at noon. We had been waking up all night so excited that we were tired. We got up and opened presents and even Leo got a stocking a present.

Brit got a lot of stuff for Christmas. She got a book, a blanket (it's really cold in our house), socks (everyone needs those), two violin solo books (Disney and Movie Themes), a big box of puzzles of little girls dressed up as butterflies, two Christmas Classics dvd sets (like the Rudolph and Santa Claus claymation) and a stocking full of goodies (including a set of Batman character Pez dispensers).
Jacob got quite a bit as well. He got a pajama set (the one he's wearing in the picture next to the tree), a Utah Jazz shirt, a ReAl Salt Lake shirt, a picture frame with Brit in it to put on his desk at work, levis, apron (and one matching for Brit as well), and a stocking full of fun stuff (he got more Hot Wheel's cars).

All in all it was a good first Christmas for the both of us, even though Brit had to work for part of it. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast at Jacob's grandma's before Brit went to work and then since the weather was bad, we waited to go down to Salt Lake til the next day. We made the trek up to Heber to find out M & M's (Jacob found his first).
